PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: President-elect Donald Trump’s love affair with Diet Coke continues as he gears up for his second term.
On Tuesday, January 14, the president-elect was beaming with happiness as he received a personalized bottle of his favorite beverage, just days before his inauguration.
Donald Trump celebrated with a special edition of Diet Coke commemorating his presidency.
In a photo shared by Deputy Director of Communications Margo Martin, Donald Trump is seen grinning ear-to-ear next to Coca-Cola Chairman and CEO James Quincey.
The President-elect is pictured with a glass bottle of Diet Coke, adorned with a unique inauguration-themed label. The label showcases a stylish combination of gray, blue, and red, prominently displaying the phrase “Inauguration of President of the United States Donald J Trump” along with the date, January 20, 2025.
As if the special edition bottle wasn't sufficient, it was enclosed in a vibrant red box that included a card highlighting Coca-Cola's influence on the economy.
The message stated, “We take pride in upholding our longstanding tradition of honoring the US presidential inauguration with a special commemorative bottle,” highlighting the company’s impressive $55 billion impact on economic activity and its backing of 860,000 jobs across the United States.

For Coca-Cola, special-edition inauguration bottles are nothing new. Obama’s inaugural Coke bottles reportedly fetch as much as $50 a pop on eBay, the Daily Mail noted. But the tradition wasn’t as sweet for some Trump critics, who were quick to pour out their disdain on social media.
"From this point forward, we will be enjoying Diet Pepsi," a user shared on X.
"That's the reason why Pepsi is superior," another person commented.
"Out of nowhere, I have a strong desire for a Pepsi," someone commented.
"Isn't it what MAGA claimed? That RFK JR would improve the diets of Americans?" another person questioned.
"One commenter noted, 'The main reason big corporations are pleased about Trump's return to the presidency is that his tax policies primarily impacted the middle class rather than the wealthy.'"
"Trump is expected to start marketing his own soda soon to add to his collection of bibles, sneakers, watches, trading cards, cologne, and various other ventures. What a display of dignity and class... that's our President-elect," another critic expressed indignantly.
