Are the Biebers on the brink of a breakup? “It doesn’t look like things are going too well,” TikToker Sloan Hooks declared in a December 29, 2024, video that quickly racked up more than 5 million views. After seeing a clip Hailey posted on social media seemingly showing her on vacation in Anguilla with pals, the content creator further speculated that the couple “aren’t spending the holidays together.”
Hailey and Justin weren’t having it. The Rhode beauty founder used another TikTok video to pointedly respond on December 30, 2024, writing, “Me to all of you on the Internet,” atop a clip of a man laughing and repeatedly saying, “You’re not well and it’s OK.”
A few days later, Justin shared a glimpse into his relationship by posting, “Goin anywhere with u bb,” along with an Instagram snapshot of Hailey, 28, in a bikini, a fur coat, and a festive “Happy New Year” headband on January 1. On January 4, he also uploaded a picture of himself kissing her neck.
“Their relationship has been scrutinized since the beginning,” a source exclusively tells Life & Style. “It was a lot to deal with in those early days, especially for Hailey, who felt a lot of insecurity over constant comparisons” to his ex Selena Gomez.
Though the Biebers usually loath to address split rumors, they’ve felt pressure to respond amid the recent scrutiny — especially since they’re parents now: Son Jack Blues arrived in August 2024, a month before they celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. With their recent social media posts, “they’re setting the record straight,” says the source. “They want the world to know they are very much together.”
Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber Face Challenging Times
Hailey and Justin have faced recent challenges, though. In fact, their relationship was changed in ways the duo never could’ve imagined upon welcoming a baby. “Jack’s brought them closer together,” says the source, “but new parenthood is hard on all couples.”
Justin, 30, also “has a tendency to cut people from his life, which can feel really isolating,” adds the source. On January 4, it emerged that the “Sorry” singer suddenly unfollowed and reportedly blocked five people on Instagram who were once part of his inner circle — including, most notably, friend and former manager Scooter Braun, with whom he parted ways professionally last year.
“The Grammy winner confessed early in his marriage, ‘Trusting people has been incredibly difficult for me. I often grapple with the notion that others might be taking advantage of me or aren’t genuinely supportive.’”
