On Tuesday, Simone Biles shared on her Instagram Story that she had acquired a light brown Hermès Birkin bag, writing, “I treated myself to a new little baby while in New York.”

The 27-year-old Olympic gymnast attended the VTEX Connect event in New York City on Monday, accompanied by her husband, 29-year-old Jonathan Owens, who provided her with emotional support during the outing.

"Babe, I was totally sweating," she remarked, alluding to the extravagant spending.

Indeed, the famous designer bags, which were named after the late style icon Jane Birkin, come with a hefty price tag — styles similar to Biles’ will set you back around $30,000 on resale site Fashionphile.

Despite feeling anxious about the purchase, this isn't the first Birkin bag for the Olympic champion.
