Discovering this "work truck" at Lone Star Throwdown provided an ideal backdrop to appreciate everything Jarrod has achieved. Typically, my February trips from Detroit to Texas mean donning shorts and slathering on sunscreen, but this time I found myself collecting merchandise and hoodies at every turn just to warm up my bare hands for photography. It's clear that the true essence of the show lies in the people and their vehicles, and not even the harshest weather—be it rain, sleet, or snow—can dampen our passion for this industry.

Treating my driver like a convenient shuttle service, I leaped out and dove right into the task at hand.

Jarrod landed an incredibly sweet bargain by picking up this truck. Try not to be too envious, but he stumbled upon it on the roadside for only $800 after it was repossessed. While it wasn't in perfect condition, it certainly had potential and required some repairs. Together with his friends, he tackled the entire project from the ground up, refurbishing the utility bed and prepping it to represent his plumbing business—In 2 Deep.
The truck is running control arms with a wishbone kit from Nfamous Metal for that super tucked stance that is adjusted by an AVS air-ride kit. The slammed frame lays around 20- and 22-inch Detroit Steel D-Town wheels to capture a classic appearance. Cooling off the Texas heat is a
