New Toyota Land Cruisers and Lexus GX models are experiencing issues with melting components.
The new Toyota Motor Corporation Land Cruiser and Lexus GX have only recently arrived at dealerships and owners' driveways, and some owners are reporting that their black mirror caps are melting in the sun. Sadly, this isn't the first severe quality issue with one of Toyota Motor Corporation's new truck products; the new generations of the Tundra and Tacoma have also experienced numerous quality concerns.
Toyota Motor Corporation
Toyota Motor Corporation is, today, the world's largest automobile manufacturer. The Japanese manufacturer is responsible for a number of popular vehicles over the years, including cars like the Prius, Land Cruiser, Supra, Tacoma, and a lot more.
Is This a Potential Cause for a Recall?
As first reported by the Drive, an Arizona owner posted photos of their Nori Green Pearl GX with a melted driver's side mirror in the Lexus GX 550 Owners & Enthusiasts group on Facebook. He said it happened over four days when his truck was parked in his driveway. Other owners in the group also reported heat damage to things like the roof rack covers and trim on the B pillars, and the issue isn't only on the new Lexus GX.
